Bree & Tom's Wedding at The Old Butter Factory
THE PROPOSAL
We had been together for over 3 years & has always talked about getting married one day. On the afternoon of Sunday 9th of July 2017, we went for a drive to the top of Bago Bluff before going to cut firewood, as we regularly did of a Sunday afternoon during Winter. I was taking photos of the view when I turned around to Tom hold a little box & telling me how much he loved me. This was when he asked me to marry him & of course I said yes! Â
Â
THE PLANNING
We had never actually been to The Old Butter Factory previously, but when it came to looking at wedding venues we had it on our list as we had only ever heard good things & seen beautiful photos. It was the only venue that we ended up looking at as we fell in love with its character & charm, so booked it straight away.
IF YOUR WEDDING HAD A THEME SONG…
Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. This is the song that I walked down the aisle to & whenever we hear the song it brings back so many wonderful memories from our wedding day. It’s also our wedding video song.
TRADITIONS
We didn’t stay together the night before the wedding & I wanted to keep the tradition on Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue.
DIY
Most of our decorations were DIY. Everything from the arbour & ceremony set up decorations to table centrepieces & guest favours.Â
MEMORABLE MOMENTS
We were really just looking forward to marrying each other & our ceremony was one of our favourite parts, but we also really enjoyed the speeches & catching up with family & friends.
WE SPLURGED ON..
Transport (we had a VW Kombi), flowers (I love fresh florals) & favours (we had a candy bar with personalised cookies & laser cut place names) & giant light up LOVE letters
WE SAVED ON..Â
Decorations due to doing so much DIY.
